Mud stuff led light upgrade
Hi all,

Probably a daft question but this light upgrade comes with a relay upgrade too - question is which relay do
I replace - couldn't find any info on light relays in my quick look through the handbook apart from advice that owners shouldn't replace relays without consulting Land Rover!

Cheers

Hi Churchy,

The flasher relay is under the steering wheel fuse box.

If this is the upgrade yes it does come with the relay. Thumbs Up

What is a little misleading perhaps is the fact they claim "When installing LED indicators/turn signals you will have to use the compatible LED relay supplied to correct the ‘fast flash’ characteristic when retro fitting LED indicator/turn signals." Whilst true what they forget to mention is that the adjuster on the relay itself does not actually change the rate of flash. It actually adjusts the trigger point of your dash trailer light illuminating. It should be adjusted so the trailer light illuminates once when the indicators are initiated without a trailer fitted. Hope this makes sense.

Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

To find the relay, open fuse box lid under dash drivers side and turn on your indicators, you'll be able to hear and feel the relay that is operating

Brilliant thanks all - makes sense now ref which relay - end of day hasty post instead of working it out for myself!

Thanks again. Bought some security screws for fitting - having been a victim of theft previously I think it wise to at least try and slow any would get magpies!
