I think that's the same valve I've ordered a replacement for. Called by several names including Suction Control Valve. My 2010 2.4 has had this horrid surging especially when cold on the mornings first run, foot off for the corner and it surges and nearly cuts out. Try to balance revs and braking at the same time as changing gear etc. Laughing Also a strange "wow wowing" (only way I can describe it Shocked ) sort of light noise at certain throttle positions.
Hopefully this'll fix the damn thing.
