Disrespectful
OK I'm not interested in politics but is it just me or does anyone else find this so disrespectful?

Again it's not a political comment just a comment on respect!

I'd have to say you are too superficial or looking to pick a fault with the man over nothing.

Not sure what you make make of these:

Don't really see the issue....I loath what he stands for but don't see any disrespect in what he's wearing.

Does top button fastened equal respect? Different day and age these days Puma 2.2 90 Stationwagon

Don't worry Stanley, I'm of the same view as yours. If you put yourself in a position such as he is in then by having a casual appearance instantly puts out that everything else you do is going to be casual.

What do expect from that w@nker?

Labour are finished here in Scotland. Now that he's been picked, they are now finished in England as well....

I think he should of made a bit more effort.

A lot of us whinge and moan at the state of the next generation etc etc, but when they see people in roles like that, not making that extra bit of effort, what right does he or us have to ask the younger generation to, smarten up. Ok he had a suit on, so it's not quite that bad, but it does give off a certain whisp of 'Can't be arsed' ... which is how many live by today, myself included in some respects.

I think anybody in a role or position that some will look up to should make that extra effort. If only to give those 1 or 2 people that extra bit of inclination to also take that little extra effort.

Simply turning up to an event like that doesn't imply respect for the sacrifice of those being remembered, just being in attendance is not enough one needs to demonstrate a level of effort having been exercised, even more so when one is the representative of Her Majesties Opposition. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Listening to Radio4 the other day Shocked there was a journalist who expressed the opinion that Corbyn was actually an incrediably clever appointment by the Labour Party. The new leader is guaranteed at least four hard years in opposition, with no realistic prospect of being elected. Rightly or wrongly, he'll always be perceived as a maverick hardliner, which will further alienate both the voters & press.
However by the time of the next general election he'll then be 74yrs old. Pressure will then be applied for him to stand down "for the good of the party" & allow them to bring in what has always been Labours preferred option, the media friendly & by comparison a moderate reformer, untainted by the previous unsuccessful Labour regimes....
