Either you've got an electric heater in the garage, or you are rebuilding it in the dining room.

Thanks, it's my mate's Range Rover,
Click image to enlarge 4.6 did us proud, up to Perth and back in a day through rain snow and ice without a hitch. We had a few brown pants moments, hitting black ice on a bend and nearly putting us through a stone wall on the way up.having a flat tyre and a blow out on the trailer on the way back down. It's currently at another mate's, (in his garage) having all the welding done along with needing new brake lines, a frame ball joint, prop uj's, o and gearbox. Will probably find more on the way. |

Fantastic looking truck
I would love a Tdi 130 but they are very rare beasts as most of them are still out being used! Keep us posted Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

I had been given a reconditioned caliper for the Salisbury axel so was going to see what options I had a paddocks. Well just got back and the options were Brit part or AP. So that will be two new AP calipers going on.
While I was taking the calipers of the other night I flipped the hub flange cap off to find that the flange and half shaft had been welded together. It was a very nice weld but it had cracked. So two new half shafts and flanges also to go on. I will try and get some pictures up later. |

I few pictures to update.
Back end of the chassis has had a few coats of paint now to all the bits I will struggle to do get to once tub is on. Click image to enlarge I bolted the new brake calipers on and the pulled out the the welded drive flange and half shaft. Click image to enlarge To find the stub axel oil seal had gone so all came off to replace it. I took the opportunity to pull the diff pan off to make sure all is good there which it was. Click image to enlarge It's all back together now with new brake lines to the back. We are now on to the front end which again needs brake lines and calipers. It also needs discs but I need to decide what to go for. |

Great news, it past the mot yesterday. A big step in the right direction. Now just to drop the gearbox out and pick up my new one. And do a few other little bits. Bonnet won't latch fully, wipers are painfully slow, and I won't to get it painted/sealed up underneath.
