Headlight levelling switch ?
i came home last night with lights on dipped and thought l would see if the headlight leveller switch was working. Lo and behold there was no movement. I think l heard somewhere that they must only fitted if you have the high intensive beams. Would that be so with mine not working. I have the old filament bulbs.my defender is a 04 XS90. Your thoughts would appreciated.

Mine worked with the standard bulbs, have you checked the fuses? Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Check the adjusters are there and have power. I fitted new headlight bowls last year to get through the MOT, and ended up buying ones that were incompatible with the adjusters. I took them off and achieved an MOT pass. It's done with the adjuster at 0 setting.

One of these days I will get the proper bits and put things back together.

May seem obvious, but worth checking

If the adjuster motors etc are present but have not been used for a long time they do have a tendency to sieze. Steve.

Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

That you for replays but it seems l have had a senior moment. They do work but very slow to the ones on my other car. Thanks for you replays.
