Given you would have a spec list with your order from last week, I'd try the "Breach of Contract" route and see where it takes you.....

I'm thinking about it, but I'm not sure whether legal fees and ill will from the dealer when I show up for servicing would exceed the $5000+ that this bloody 'Runout Pack' is going to cost.

UPDATE:
I never heard from Land Rover Australia about my problems. I cancelled the order with the first dealer, who didn't bat an eyelid, and with the help of a dedicated Land Rover owner, placed an order with another dealer for the exact same spec. The new dealer didn't try to force a 'Runout Pack' on me, and in fact gave me a better deal than the first one. They have been nothing but professional and straightforward to deal with. But at the end of the day, it is solely due to a supportive band of Land Rover owners in Australia that I've been able to move forward. |
