[quote="Jonno1968"]I returned to the Landy today to find water dripping from underneath....I got under and it appeared to be coming from the gearbox(??) housing or maybe above it? It was roughly underneath the gearstick, maybe slightly behind. What water is there? It was a hot day, air con had been on and the car had been stood for twenty mins while I was in a shop. There was about a third of a cup full underneath on the Tarmac........should I be worried???[/quot
Mine does the same !there is alot of fluid and the drain is in a stupid place ...just make sure its not oil then it must be the aircon! |

Probably condensing water coming from the A/C drain pipe. Land Rover in all their wishdom situated the drain above the gearbox... Cheers, Vincent

All vehicles with aircon do it. You just notice it more on a Defender because the higher ground clearance means you see the puddle.

I'm in Spain at the moment and every time I park up I come back to find the puddle, nothing to worry about even though SWMBO sees it as a sign of impending doom ( her 90 doesn't have a/c ) 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black.
