The ride height is impressive:

Spare key retrieved, no dice on that one either so it's to the nearest dealer tomorrow. Hope it's a simple "pairing" problem because we've a few thousand miles to go yet and I'm starting to wonder if we should have got an elephant to do the Alps. |

Finished off the fluid parts of the 120K service....... and discovered I've got the A frame ball joint to do
Going to get the Glyn Lewis adjustable / greasable one, does that count as bling? |

Made a start with treating all outside plastics and rubbers as I do twice per year. Used the here available Michelin range, on the left the one for the plastics, which I liberally sprayed onto a cloth and then wiped down on the door mirror plastics, the A-bar, the 4 side door handles, the windshield and rear window spray nozzles and the wiper movable caps. Then on the right is the product for rubbers and door seals, which sofar I put on the bumper end caps and the rear window rubbers, giving a nice even matt black finish. Today or this weekend I will continue with front window rubber, sunroof rubber, and all side window visible rubbers and all door seals, and whatever else I will run into in the process. My window rubbers, seals, and plastics still look like new after almost 7 years, seems these Michelin products, if not helping to avoid aging, certainly do not hurt. A nice matt, not glossy finish.

Well today I had a meeting with a possible employer, so I dressed myself in my smart stuff (doesn't happen very often) jumped into Jas and looked down to see a nice fluid line from below the clutch pedal. Gloves donned, spanners wielded and a quick play later we were all good to go, with a light precipitation happening I flick on the wipers and get about 200 yards before a wiper blade decides it no longer wants to be attached to the arm....spare blade fitted, start up and alt warning light starts flickering for the next half mile.
Get to the meeting still smart(ish) and she drives home flawlessly, maybe she doesn't want me to change jobs? All this and people ask why I have a big box full of tools, stuff and things In the back. |
