Hi Orchard, good choice I'm really pleased with mine, love every bit of it. As a matter of fact, I felt exactly the same as you do, couldn't wait to start with the tweaks. Having said that, now I really enjoy her the way she is, at least the looks I mean. Would love to do the soundproofing and engine tune though, that's definitely on my wish list. Don't forget to post some pictures once yours arrive - when is she due? Look forward to see then what improvement you have up your sleeve MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html

It's due the first week in October
Then the fun starts Under skin will be some extra security and possibly rustproofing as this is a keeper. Then Bowler engine tune and poss their road suspension, which I should try first, as I hear it's very ...er ...firm Soundproofing and poss double din dash, so I can hear. Upgraded lights, so I can see. Exterior requires more thought to get the look right and I've been playing with photo software - see my first posting and you can see what I'm thinking of. www.defender2.net/forum/topic38875.html All of course requires finance committee approval 2015 90 XS SW Bowler 1998 TD5 CSW |

I saw one exactly like this on a transporter when my missus was looking at buying herself an Audi. Despite telling her the Defender would be a better investment and a lot more fun than the German box the financial approval committee went for the Audi
Left me no choice other than to buy my own as a project second car Though nowhere near as new or nice looking as that. Great choice! |

@ Orchard - seems we have a very similar taste. What you listed out sounds like my ultimate dream Defender!!
Would love to do the Bowler tune along with suspension and their wheels, but I have a feeling my finance committee wouldn't approve I as well did the rustproofing first thing, and since then invested a LOT into security. Feel free to PM if you want, I got plenty of good advice from experienced guys on here so happy to pass it on. Impressive work on the pictures on your other thread. You should try black contrast roof too - it's not most visible, but a nice subtle touch @ sgilmour - I went through a very similar process as you, but luckily I was successful We cancelled my wife's order of a new car in June, and placed one of very last orders for a new 90 HT in Santorini, build date is for October so happy days MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html MY16 Santorini 90 HT - sold |

JK, thanks for the offer of security advice.
Re roof colour I had thought of black but felt there wouldn't be enough contrast. I'll try it on the PC and post it up. Can you post a pic of yours pls 2015 90 XS SW Bowler 1998 TD5 CSW |
