You might find it is worth checking for wear in the hinges while you're at it. Some people find that the hinge pins wear at an accelerated rate (especially if not lubricated occasionally) and I have seen a hinge pin fail completely resulting in the door flapping about in a dangerous manner.

With the door open a couple of inches, try lifting the outer edge of the door. If the hinges are worn you will get an obvious movement of the door, and you can see which hinge is the worn one (or if both are worn).

Carefully loosened the A-pillar bolts, repositioned the door (including moving the stricker) and re-tightened everything. Will probably have 10 more leaks now than it had before, but that's life with a Defender! Laughing
