I'm just about to cancel my order for a 110 Adventure in Corris grey (colour still able to change) but before I do does anyone want to take it on? Build slot is for 5th Oct.

I think I ordered it on a whim and convinced myself it would be right for me knowing deep down the driving position would annoy the hell out of me. It's an expensive mistake to make.

Trust me, the driving position is excellent. I can think of many eminently sensible reasons to cancel (build quality, build quality and build quality to mention three), but the driving position isn't one! That's not a dent, it's a rivet. That's not a dent, it's a rivet. That's not ... oh! That is a dent!

I borrowed a defender over the weekend. The driving position is well and truly awful IMHO - even with the seat rail extenders - in which case my head now hits the roof. Horses for courses and this horse doesn't suit the course.

Well, I'm 6' & I find the driving position excellent, sure it's a bit "different", but that's all part of Defendering, and you either like it!, or you don't!
Best to find out now. Pickles. |

The driving position is one of the things I love the most about a defender. Yes, your too close to the door so elbow room is not a premium , but the view from the seat and the upright seating position is good for me. like all things defender, you take it as a package

Just spoken to dealer and although the build date for my heritage is 11 December they expect them to be built and delivered during October.

Yours has been a long time coming Rog, with a lot of thought & deliberation,......but it's good to get what you REALLY want. Can't wait to see it. Martin. |
