Urgent help! no power after new engine installation!

Hi

Problem: No power very slow going to 100 /110 Km
Related problem: planned summer holyday starting this weekend...

Defender 130 MY 2012 2.2 with new MY2015 2.2 engine.

6 weeks ago my engine snapped due to "the oil pump" problem...

All work carried out under guaranty at main LR dealer.

It was hard to get an engine (none available - picked one out of line) so almost 4 weeks with no work carried out.

Last week a new one was put in.. Engine and turbo renewed. all other ancillaries build over. (clutch plate was renewed also but was another problem)

Last Thursday everything seemed to work except for an odd sensor problem. Sensors renewed..

No power at the test drive..

Some turbo hoses renewed..

Still no power...

An airflow test carried out. all sensors with normal values...
Senior mechanic checked the transplant. Didn't find faults.
No fault codes generated.

LR Netherlands suggested dealer to switch all injectors.

This seems odd to me and I think this cannot cause the problem.

Anyone faced the same?

Suggestion's were to look at?

I'd insist on an injector change to 2012 level parts or try flashing your ECU with an "as built" map from a 15m/y vehicle. I've seen problem running like this when injectors were characterised for "pre globalised" engines. If Ford have made any changes to the injectors since 2012 (very likely) your 2012 level software on your ECU won't be electrically driving 2015 injectors correctly.

2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Alpine White

Just rebuilt my 2009 2.4 and had a similar issue - a change of injectors cured the problem.

The injectors coused indeed the problem..
Everything solved now..

Dealer (the Adventure Den Bosch, Netherlands) did a good job!
