Heavy Duty.
Munch my 08 has heavy duty and all the XS of that era were advertised as having HD suspension as standard. I believe later this option was no longer offered. I am unsure of this last fact but was lead to believe the HD suspension gave you a 1" lift over non HD springs. Hope this helps. Suspension can be an emotive issue. What suits one doesn't suit another. I considered a 'lift' four years ago and rather than 'bushing' radius arms, castor angles, turrets and all sorts of bits 'n' bobs were thrown into the mix. In the end I decided it was a 'wish' rather than a 'must' as I was relatively happy with the standard HD setup together with my own driving style and needs.
Still on the standard setup nearly 5 years later and still happy. Is it something you really 'need' or are you 'tinkering?' (No offence meant or implied) Just asking if you really need to mess with it? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Fully understandable....usually with me it's my week off between shifts, money to burn and all the job list with regards to household chores done and dusted! Then what? I know I'll go tinker a little....... If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

No need for HD springs unless you tow heavy trailers or for example have a very heavy bumper and winch or internal load.
D44 used to do some nice Eibach springs which were softish, not sure if they still do though. |

Yes, I'd imagine so or the Landy would get nose high wouldn't it.
I'm on the post 1997 licence so do not have B+E licence category so only tow light. |
