these are one of the comfiest seats I've sat in... and I've sat in some fairly pricey cars. not quite bentley arrange but not bad. |

To be honest you can't beat the recaros I have some in mine and won't have anything else.
Are they pricey I suppose are they worth it most definitely I got mine from Urban Truck 1860+vat and I opted for the removable base to access the battery 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid) 2002 90 TD5 Hardtop (Sully) Sold 1998 300TDi D1 (Billy) Sold |

At the risk of being labelled a complete "beanie", I think you should really wait for the release of the all new Exmoor seat on the 16/7

I have one of the genuine SVX Recaro seats fitted to my side (driver)
Now in its 3rd 110,, most excellent seat no issues whatsoever with steering/gear changing, the extra lateral support is far better and most welcome Last time i looked gen Recaro was over £2k each, http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-VPLDS0...oC2uHw_wcB In hindsight,, would fit the same again, certainly for the driver's side, not so sure i would for the passenger mind !! Beyond my price range by far but all I can say is they must be ultra special to warrant the price or they wouldn't sell.
Are the seat bases and longer than standard? |

I have no doubt that Recaros are the ultimate seat modification for a Defender,..... IF they are suitable for YOUR body.
I've had a few cars with Recaros, & for sure, if you like that "wrap around"/ "snug" fit, then you're going to be very happy,....Like I said, Recaros aren't known as "The Best" for no reason. However, if you're a bit wide in your "lower regions", you might find them a little bit too "snug".....I did at times, but when I lost some weight, I was OK!! They also do require a bit of care getting in & out,...if your body continually rubs against the seat bolster, the leather will wear quite quickly. I am NOT knocking the seat, just saying that in my experience, they may not be for everyone. Pickles. |

There are no bolsters to speak of on the 'official Land Rover' ones. See picture above. Steve the seat base is longer than OEM. Over all a damn sight more comfortable, then again you're paying for it.
