The confirmation email from them will have had the size on it that you ordered, the one they sent immediately after ordering. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

/\ Correct, hence why I then realised it was changed as they had no stock of the 285 I clicked buy on
I paid by debit card stupidly, but no worries anyway as is all sorted now. Amazed I got any money back off them actually! Cant be bothered putting more time into them so leaving it at that |

There is no excuse for poor customer service and I do sympathise to an extent......was it their purposeful intent to get their hands on your money as you imply or an honest mistake on your behalf?
Your fault?????
Their fault????
Very conflicting and different perspectives. As Davew touched on you may have got exactly what you pressed the buttons and ordered, the prices between 245 and 285 are different too by about £20, perhaps your receipt would have clarified? Still immaterial now as you stated. Glad you got your money back either way. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Your right Mal
I thought when I started the topic I had simply just ordered the wrong one and was mainly focused on just sending it back. However as i later put when I looked back it was a 285 that I clicked buy on and had appeared in the 285 results, the next email orders all said the different size that was sent, so guess as it was out of stock that it was changed. I had no reason to doubt it was my fault as the other emails do say the other size, the irritating bit was just the lack of response as that could easily be sorted. Edit. first email lists 285 all others list 245 Hope this makes it a bit clearer Last edited by SailingTom on 8th Jul 2015 10:31am. Edited 1 time in total |

I know they no longer stock but ironically the size you wanted was the most expensive. I bought mine from them in March and the prices gradually increased up to 285 then dropped again significantly to mine the less popular size of 305. Shameful if they did indeed change the order and send you the smaller tyre but charged you for the larger to boot? I know you're necessarily a 'traditionalist' when it comes to wheel colour! The limestones looked great!
As long as your 'nice colour' doesn't fall into the black, anthracite, silver or white colour spectrum it'll sit well with me! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
