No accelerator response.
Have an 08 110 2.4 TDCi. 70,000 miles. The problem is this. When I am towing and accelerate up through the gears and the engine is under load, going up a hill or accelerating hard when I lift of the pedal slightly the power goes. The revs drop and there is no response from the pedal. This will happen around 4-5 seconds and then the pedal responds again. The engine does not cut out and no lights come on.
Turning the engine off and on again does not cure it. Same thing happens when not towing but at higher speeds 5-6 gear change at about 2.500 revs.
When you put it on a computer there are no fault codes?
Changed the fuel filter as I thought that it might be fuel starvation due to a blocked filter, but to no avail.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Any wierd running issues with no DTCs on a 2.4 suggest the Volume Control Valve in the fuel pump.
