2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Cairns Blue
Seat re-trim, defender 90 with rear forward facing seats
My 2007 90 CSW has the standard xs seats, but the previous owner had them re-trimmed in blue leather. I want to get shot of the blue but don't want to spend a fortune.

I started looking on exmoor trim's and LRI Solutions site today and whilst they do re-trim kits for the front seats, they don't do them for the fold down forward facing rear seats.

Anyone know of any good options that will allow me to get rid of the blue without throwing stacks of cash at new seats?

Thanks

Foldups come up for sale on here and eBay from time to time. Usually around £500-£750

Given someone will want to pay good money for your blue ones say £400-£500, you are probably only looking at a couple of hundred to change back to std

Will drop a mail over to you guys at FCX - thanks!

You're right about the take out seats bpman, but that's usually around £650 for a pair of seats, I need the front and rear. I can't imagine anyone would want to pay much for blue leather ones, so not sure the finances would add up there.

Oh and Tiger, Plastidip - brilliant idea, why didn't I think of that - let's practise on your seats first!

I don't want to do FCX out of any business: - how about seat covers as a cheap solution - presuming they are available for rear seats

This is what I was originally looking at from Exmoor Trim ....

http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/store/defender...etail.html

These would have been perfect but unfortunately they don't do them for the rear seats - I don't understand why.

Still don't have an economical solution at this stage, will see what I can find at Billing!

Give them a ring, they may do a trim kit that isn't on their web site.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Hi Martin

I did call Exmoor trim the other day when I was looking - spoke to a guy, who didn't seem to know his stuff that well. Promised to email me more details and that never materialised.

Thought this would be much easier than it is.

Cheers

So, by way of an update, I managed to source some take out XS part leather trims from a 2015 defender for the front and rear seats for £170.

Some of the plastic retaining clips were missing on the new ones, so going to transplant over from old leather seat covers.

I am now looking to source new headrests, I have the part number for the front head rests LR026311, does anyone know the part number for the rear head rests, I was given HAH501690, but this does not show any results and does not seem to follow the normal part number code.

Any suggestions on where to buy from are welcome too - I have one option at the moment where I can get one of the front headrests for £35, the other will be £79.30. I was quoted £48.74 for the rears.

I will probably go ahead and order from there, but if anyone else can point me in the right direction that would be great.

XS headrests are indeed: LR026311 (front) and HAH501690PUY (rear)

There are various part numbering systems, don't look for logic Wink  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Finally got my new seat covers on - well pleased with the result, seats are like brand new. Ended up spending £170 on the trims + a new seat base for one of the front seats and heating kit.

Have to say a massive thank you to Tiger who saved me a lot of money - long story, but almost had them fitted by someone that wanted to charge me £700! We ended up getting the sewing kit out to transplant a couple of the plastic retaining parts from my old seat covers and we finished them in about an evening and a half.

We used cable ties instead of the hog rings and it was quite a simple job in the end.

Thank you again Tiger Bow down

Just need a solution for my headrests now!
