well done that man, i hope you don't mine some more people copying your work, as i think i need to install a makeup/glove box for my good lady, i just have this issue of being in a car by myself and the front of my cubby box (on show) is full of lady products

no plastic from Nakatanenga, is black powdered alloy.......

you must remove the polystyrene foam, cut the long plastic hump and screw the top panel on the new hinges plate.

I've also done similar to create a glove box. It's small but very useful to keep my Sat-Nav unit and other valuables out of sight.

Why do LR not build a box here in the first place or make a conversion kit?

Kwagga, I am trying to convince Grant Anderson (www.expeditiongear.co.za) to create a similar glovebox, will let you know how that pans out.

As for replacing the interior lights, give Andre Faber (084 528 4368)a call, he sells LED replacements lights - I have replaced all my interior lights with LEDs and also have a strip in the back for camping nights:

I'll take some pics of the LEDs tonight and post them.
