Hello Jim_Bean
Not good i'd say, 100 miles on a collapsing wheel bearing that is already loose possibly shedding its grease and drying out in the process... is pushing it. Sorry for the obvious question but are you covered by any recovery service ? All surfaces are replaced when renewed so as I see it damage will be 'contained' if driven on. Any chance of tightening it up or better still get some more grease in there and tighten it up not ideal and not on a night like this... Good luck... I'm not sure if I still have the roadside recovery. I bought it new and did use the roadside assistance when the turbo pipe was cut by the alternator pulley.
Im not sure how long you are covered by roadside assistance - probably only 12 months. I'm stuck at the Plantworx show for 3 days before heading home and have no tools at all with me. Pretty crappy situation. |

Maybe silly question... ....but have you checked your wheel nuts are tight? Once I found someone had loosened mine while it was parked.
Cheers, David |

No i haven't!
Good point. I'll check in the morning if it ever ever ever stops raining sideways! I'm pretty sure it is the bearing rather than the wheel but you've made me doubt myself now |

Hey Steve. I might have to take you up on that!
I'll check the wheel nuts in the morning but i'm sure it was the bearing. I'm not sure how much £££££££££ Land Rover want for a maintenance kit tho or if I can get one down here. This weather is AWFUL! |

Thanks Luke. I'm from Market Drayton but stuck here in Market Harborough. Last time I went to Richard's they had got rid of everything and looked to be closing down, that was last summer. I bought two 110s from them in the past but I don't think they can get the MOD release vehicles any more; they all go to Witham. |

Rockingham Landrovers seem local Indy. No knowledge or experience of them but they claim to have a competent set up.
Hope this helps. Steve |
