Changed my front swivel pin and bush.
Bit of a faff but well worth doing the old one was well knackered! Will write up at some point this week but first pint of beer and a sit down while I try and work out how I can afford a workshop with a 4 post lift Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Gave the wee beastie a damn good wash, and because I've now managed to track down some ACF50 here in NZ, I ACF'd all those tricky bits back to shiny blackness!!
Click image to enlarge I've more or less decided that I should get the rear windows tinted and the chequer plate anodised black - what do you think? Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Haha - it's an iPhone shot edited with a little app called Tadaa SLR which lets you blur out the background. I only did it because the hedge behind is in a dreadful state! I'm going to have to get some quotes for the anodising. The tinting seems to be about $400-$450. That landy glass would be superb but I shudder to think of the cost of shipping it out here! |

Went for a lovely, long walk with friends. 14kms of rolling pastures, woodland and babbling brooks. Stopped for a fabulous picnic and returned a little later for a quiet beer at the 'local'. Discovered a large tear in my short's pocket and my two-month-old HTC One missing
Defender to the rescue. Click image to enlarge Took the Beast back along the track and looked for the phone, to no avail. Arrived at a large field where some idiocy had ensued just a few hours before Click image to enlarge Re-traced my steps, at which point the Almighty (also a Defender driver) showed me with a ray of light, where my phone was in this hectare of pasture. Click image to enlarge Ragged the Defender home along the woodland tracks like I was in the Bowler Challenge, highlight of the day!! Thank you. Definitely a good ending finding my phone.
Lovely scenery, agreed, but unlike NZ it is sadly a little too urbanised Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Very true... But on the other hand, that means you're way more likely to find somewhere you can get a cold refreshing beer!
