Hi Pickles, Twisted are in the process of building a pair of Defenders with LS3 engines
https://fbcdn-photos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hpho...878f00f881 And Urban Truck have their version, the RS with over 500bhp and a push button automatic transmission The LS3 seems to be getting more common as a transplant 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon 1971 Bowler Tomcat 88 4.2 V8 Auto 2022 110 D250 XS Edition - Gone 2024 110 D250 X-Dynamic HSE |

Yes, the LS3 is a really practical engine. It has a bullet proof bottom end, & it'll take a lot of punishment.
It produces great power & torque, and ya don't have to rev it. And if 300KW is not enough, there are huge amounts of "hot up stuff", cold air intakes, heads, exhaust systems, camshafts etc etc, and perhaps one of the easiest & most effective, superchargers, to get you to 500KW+ easily, if that is your needl Heaps of these running around, mostly in Commodores, in Aus, making 7/800HP+, and could still be driven to Church on Sunday, by a little old lady. Pickles. |

Interestingly, the new Wildcats are powered by a supercharged Jaguar V8. It's a good lump, all alloy block you can find them all over the place. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar_AJ-V8_engine

So I have bitten the bullet and gone for a 4 litre Tvr chimera engine. The 5 litre was double the price and would end causing a lot more work upgrading the whole drivetrain. So more money left in the kitty for other jobs!
Going to have a bash at fitting the puma bulkhead and dash whilst the engine is out. |

So I have now ended up with a 5 litre TVR engine as the breaker couldn't supply me with an ecu for the 4 litre and I got sick of waiting for it! The puma bulkhead and engine are in with just the wiring to complete now.
Does anyone have or know where I can get a loop drawing for the 5litre TVR V8 engine and ECU, I have the puma one for the dash but struggling to find one for the TVR? |

I don't think its a GEMS, It has the following info on the ECU "AMR2175 14CUX Land rover 80405"

I emailed megasquirt last week as they don't list the 5 litre lump and haven't heard back from them yet?

Surely the 5 litre will need a different map to to 4 litre?
