Started on the rear shelving, as I expected nothing in the rear tub is level/straight/parallel so its going to take some sorting to get things to at least look straight.

Sorry I have been quiet on here, got the usual very busy at work excuse which is great Razz We have also got the builders in replacing the roof on my house, the removal of the concrete render, new windows and doors and interior works involving the removal of old lath and plaster ceilings etc etc.
Here is a pic of the front of the house with the render removed Shocked

So Longshanks is not being worked on but is at work ferrying kit about.

I can confess that I did go out for a play Sunday just gone.

Unfortunately no, the external timber frame surface is in a poor condition to the point that it would be impossible to make it waterproof. The only way to fix it would be to replace with new, however the internal surface of the timber has medieval paintings on it so replacing the timber is not an option.
We are repairing where necessary, insulate between the timber and re render with a lime render system. This way we get an insulated, sound proof and breathable coating on the wall Thumbs Up
Oh and the fact that its Grade 2 listed and the conservation officer requested that the timber frame is re-covered. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile
