France 2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Santorini Black
Remap EML.
After having my 2.4 puma remapped.I am now getting the EML light on.
At first after around 1500kms after the remap was done, the light would come on,but then after 3 or 4 re-starts would go off, only to reappear.
The EGR has been dissabled electronicaly with the map,& I have fitted an EGR blanking plate.
I notice searching through other posts others have had similar problems.
I took the truck to have the fault codes read & light turned off.It had 2 codes logged P0404 & P1103.Since they were deleted & the light turned off, it has come back on,but does'nt go off at all.
I have ordered a Scanguage 2,to read the codes.
I'd apprechiate any advice on this,as it's driving me nuts.
The remap is fantastic & the truck drives brilliantly,by the way.
Thanks guys.
Marc

Have you contacted the provider of your remap? It was only three weeks ago you had it done? The P1103 code is MAF related and is a 'nuisance code' if you do a search. I am no expert but I would start by removing the blank.

P1103 Mass Air Flow Sensor In Range But Higher Than Expected

P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation "A" Control Circuit Range/Performance

As above first port of call would be to get hold of the remap company, who did it for you? Any reputable company would be happy to help or advise I'm sure! 2009 Defender County Hard Top (gone 😞)

Maybe you should have contacted them first perhaps?

I thought I would just give a bit of feedback after visiting Gary & the lads at Alive last week.
I initialy booked my Puma in for a stage 1 remap.
But I'm afraid to say I was weak.I just cant resist shiny new upgrade bits. Very Happy
Went with the bigger intercooler, silicone hoses & stage 2 remap.I now have about 170hp & 460Nm of torque to play with. Very Happy
So,after the 1500km trip back home to France, going via the Landy show at Donnington.I can not praise the transformation the Alive lads have made to my truck.
It pulls like a train in every gear,I find I have to change down much less than I did before the map, setting off now can be done in 2nd in all but up hill starts.Acceleration out of roundabouts is incredible, the power is very linear. But the big surprise is, it's also better on fuel.
Before I would get around 400 to 420 kms to a tank full,now I'm getting 440 to 460kms....Happy days.
Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
