Thanks for all the good comments about our Glove Box in this thread. Most people seem to really like the MUD glove box which was correctly stated at the beginning of this thread is manufactured by Mobile Storage Systems (aka us).
We have noted the problems stated in this thread about fitting it and are looking at ways to improve our current product. You can find our glove box here > http://mobilestoragesystems.net/land-rover...s-pgb.html We have also recently taken the time to film and explain how to fit our Glove Box so that it fits flush on the dash as though it was a factory standard product. You can find that video here > http://mobilestoragesystems.net/land-rover...html#video www.trekoverland.com | 01751 430 693 | info@trekoverland.com Expedition Equipment for you and your 4x4! www.mobilestoragesystems.net | 01751 430 318 | info@mobilestoragesystems.net For all your secure storage needs! Just fitted the glove box mod from MSS (purchased through Mud Uk) and the kit combined with the excellent YouTube video made for painless fitting and am happy with the result. My wife jumped in and was also happy with the result but did wonder whether someone would be headbutting a fairly sharp piece of steel in the unfortunate event of a frontal impact, has anyone else had that thought? I know we don’t choose these vehicles due to their safety rating and life’s too short to worry about everything but I wouldn’t want to make it worse or miss an easy chance to make it better,
Cheers Matt |

Does anyone have the part number (or the screw type) of the original black torx bolts that go into the top of the glove box.
I’m neatening mine up and need to find a set to match the Speedo cover. Click image to enlarge |

Times have moved on since this thread started and I'd suggest the best glovebox kit now is the one from Raptor Engineering, as it provides a more useful volume:

Yep I ordered the Raptor one last week. Seems solid and a good fit - looks much more standard.
There was already the mud one in the car but it didn’t fit right and the hinge had started to split. |

Thanks for the hint, Darren! Fast delivery and very easy to install.
I've padded the lit with EPDM and lined the interior with self-sticking carpet. Click image to enlarge |
