nail on the head !!! as mentioned elsewhere I've got clutch problems and it would appear the clutch is dragging intermittently. my understanding is the ECM has a torq sensor and this is in part is why you see the engine revs drop to 800 rpm with no load / no speed from 900rpm. consider the clutch switch informs the ECM to reduce torq when changing gears to help with gear harmonisation / smoother gear changes. now if everything thing is working as it should except for an intermittently dragging clutch and perhaps you get a pig of a truck to drive with intermittent diabolical gear changes that can't be predicted and as a result has greatly speeded up the wear on my drive flanges - possible? |
