United Kingdom 2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Corris Grey
Never got this gear change issue. The 110 2.2 I have now is the best LandRover I've owned. Done 28k trouble free miles since new last year. Not sure about mpg just fill it up but doesn't feel anymore expensive. I find the gear change good and even when others have driven they don't have a problem with the gearbox.

Tows great I more a fair bit of plant around and there's plenty of torque to move a heavy trailer.

Off road it's fantastic, drop it into low box and it's amazing the engine is set up very well.

I would be happy to take the 2.2 anywhere. I did however have problems with my 12 reg 2.2 it drive awful worst defender I've ever owned.

Did a lot of miles in 2.4 and had to have a new clutch because of the death rattle but that's it.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but my gear changes are smooth as can be. No problem whatsoever with that part of my 2.2 Defender.
