Iceland 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Alpine White
Gearshift Hanging RPM
Recently when shifting gears the RPM takes a few seconds to fall back to normal much longer than usual.
The strange thing is that if I´m at standstill no speed it act normally as far as I can tell. I can step on the throttle and the rpm drops back normally, so this is only when I´m driving that this happen.

Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong ?

There are no trouble codes
I did disconnect the Clutch switch ( the one connected to the clutch pump assembly and nothing changed doing that.
BTW my puma has 34.000 km on the clock and has been almost trouble free Smile

I would be thankful for any help in this matter. http://www.defender2.net/gallery/index.php?cat=13451

Thanks a lot guys.

I think I have already checked the clutch switch. I disconnected it and no change, then I connected btw the two poles on the switch with a wire and no change.

I´m gonna check the brake light and bulbs tomorrow morning. It might be that. I have had a water entering the rear brake lights. Yes gonna check that tomorrow morning , the brake lights and fuse. http://www.defender2.net/gallery/index.php?cat=13451

Thanks again (Solved )
You where right . The brake light plug was rusted and shorted, the fuse blown. Tomorrow I´m gonna buy new brakelight plug.

Thanks a lot guys , you saved me a lot of work (I would probably never have figured this out by myself) Smile. http://www.defender2.net/gallery/index.php?cat=13451

it's only a feature in the 2.2, it's a fault in the 2.4.
