Alive remap....Win win win.
I thought I would just give a bit of feedback after visiting Gary & the lads at Alive last week.
I initialy booked my Puma in for a stage 1 remap.
But I'm afraid to say I was weak.I just cant resist shiny new upgrade bits. Very Happy
Went with the bigger intercooler, silicone hoses & stage 2 remap.I now have about 170hp & 460Nm of torque to play with. Very Happy
So,after the 1500km trip back home to France, going via the Landy show at Donnington.I can not praise the transformation the Alive lads have made to my truck.
It pulls like a train in every gear,I find I have to change down much less than I did before the map, setting off now can be done in 2nd in all but up hill starts.Acceleration out of roundabouts is incredible, the power is very linear. But the big surprise is, it's also better on fuel.
Before I would get around 400 to 420 kms to a tank full,now I'm getting 440 to 460kms....Happy days.

I've got a stage 1 and I'm very happy too. Thumbs Up
I expect the stage 2 is extremely rapid. Mines about 155hp ish.

Is there much difference in cost between stage 1 and 2?

I guess with a stage 2 you need to upgrade the inter cooler and hoses...

Stage 3 looks a bit beyond my budget!!! Very Happy 2015 Overfinch Defender XS 90

Yes, stage two you need hoses and intercooler upgrades.

That's why I've stayed with a stage 1. I'm still more than happy.
Just depends on what you want really.

I know its not all about bhp but i thought a stage 1 would give 170bhp and stage 2 closer to 185bhp, 460Nm of torque would be plenty though

With an Alive stage 2 remap fitted, torque is what counts with my Defender not the BHP. Thumbs Up

You won't be disapointed Davie.
Are you just doing stage 1 or 2?
