Supacat.....Could a contributing factor that your filter appears to have started to detach be down to the air box modification where the water seperator has been removed? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

They are indeed but due to his comment about restriction I assumed he'd done it and they were old pictures perhaps?

Apologies for any confusion - I still have the cyclone in place and have no plans to remove it based on the empirical evidence when doing the washing up at home Whistle

Fill an empty beer bottle with water, tip upside down and count the time it takes to empty; then do the same again but this time give the bottle a brief swirl when upside down. The latter empties the bottle that much faster. QED I don't think it's a restriction; or rather it's not a limiting factor on the amount of air the engine can breathe.

I'm with you on this. I haven't embodied it and don't intend doing so at this juncture. Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I personally dont think the gains are enough to really worry about , 11nm thats about the same as pushing the defender with the tip of your little finger !

Any extra air the engine can get by modding will only show under hard throttle and i dont drive like that .
