I ended up getting the indicator stalk replaced (after taking it back to the dealership 3 times) and it fixed the problem after me thinking it was the steering wheel.

For a week.

Last Friday it decided to stop working again. So back to square one and legal letters going out to the dealership this afternoon. Just not acceptable on a new machine...

Update:
It spent 21 days at the dealership and was fixed by replacing the steering angle sensor.
This lasted for 6 days before it broke again.
It's now been back for the same problem 4 times, around a month and a half in the 4 months i've owned it.

I'm now waiting for the dealership to get back to me after calling them yesterday morning. Looking forward to seeing what happens next as I've pretty much had enough...

Mine went back last week and they replaced the indicator stalk assembly. It all seems to be working now!
