Freelander 2.......i would suggest you get some proper training
I do not think you know what Freelander2 is able to. It lacks good ground clearance and low gear. But it can be "replaced" by a skilled driver, huh! Some photos taken today: [/img] Puma 90 MY 2010 (sold 2017) Defender 110 MY 2001 http://www.youtube.com/bjartin |

Sorry sir it wasnt meant to come across as negative, just that you will have such a capable wagon there that it would be well worth you investing some time in getting to know how everything works, and always have a back up of any electronics with paper maps etc if your going further a field.
Its happened to me when my GPS failed on a laptop running memory map and i was so reliant on the thing that i never had a plan b...totally ruined the trip. Have you ever used a high lift jack in anger for instance?..if not learn the correct way as they are bloody lethal, ive ditched mine for a takla air bag. I agree with your comments re the Freelander but a nicly prepped 90 will run rings round it although the driver input will be considerably greater due to the lack of terrain responce and a manual box, i had a D3 before that was massivly capable and the Defender was a totally new experience, get some vehicle specific training and you will thoroughly enjoy it Hope you have some great adventures ahead, the vehicle is looking great You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things |

Don't knock the IBS system as electronic trickery as its quite neat in that the fancy panel with monitoring switches a dirty great relay to link batteries when start battery has recharged. So out in the sticks if it fails, you just manually link battery if you need to - it switches earth on the relay not live to make it easy to short to ground if you get stuck
Nice bit of kit, have one in our D3 Disco 3 gone but the memory of the bills remain... XS 110 Utility maybe one day..... (did they fix the quality yet?) |

I dont think thats called for, do you! Everyone has there own styles, and if this combination of parts on his land rover works for him then fine! i bet if some one was truthful about your land rover, there might be some thing they dont like about it!! so to be honest i think this type of reply is a little harsh and yes there are things on here i dont like but as i said each to there own and styles Stu Soon: 2010 Defender Puma 90 HT 2002 Discovery 2 Td5 2007 90 Puma HT County |

All the gear, no idea.. I'll tell you my idea. I mention them in the order they appear in the video: I refuse to believe that you have something against the first items: Dual Battery, Winch (with front & inside control switch), Hi-Force Wing intake, Equipe 4x4 Bumperettes, Matzker diff. guard and sliders, Hi Lift Jack. Camera. Discovery4 has 360º surround camera system. It's great. I have rear cameras, and the idea is rubbish. But it is perhaps the screens that you do not like. Standard Store Drawer and 2x Slimline Chest. Sturdy, lockable. The contents are not visible to potential thieves. Store tools and personal items. "... junk bolted two a Defender .." Yes, they are literally bolted. You know (I hope) how important it is that nothing is loose when driving off road! Everything in my car is fixed so I will not be injured . Specter 20L water cans. Not all sites are blessed with good drinking water. Is there water available where you are going? I have this "cheap" pump to avoid having to lift 20kg each time I need water. And I have not invested in an electric pump. Is it junk? LRO June 2010: Best buy water carrier. (Overall rating 9/10). Jerry Cans. My fuel tank is 57L, it is a range of 500km. It is then obvious that I need these on my travels. In the picture, they are inside the car, it is to lower the car's center of gravity, but you can also see that I have them on the roof, behind the High Jack. For easier to get them up and down, I have chosen 10-liter cans. My point is that you can choose according to the current adventure you are going to. Normally they stand inside the garage (along with water cans). Backpack, I go hiking in the mountains. Food and drink and ... in the sack. Fire extinguisher. Surely even in your car. Steering Lock. YES you are right. AVMAP Geosat 4x4 with Trip Master. Appropriate when riding after RoadBook, and I do. It has (I have) SD Memory Card with "Topografic Military Cartography" of Italy. (Also available for France and Spain.) Wheelcover. YES, I am 100% agree with you. There have only been on the car as long as it took to take that picture. (It's a gift). You'll never see it with me more. Junk, junk. ICE CREAM VAN TYRES! General Grabber 235/85 R16 is the standard from Land Rover. They are "not" noisy, good on normal roads and on snow, and that is what I mainly have under my wheels. At the end of the month I will travel 1800km down to the Tirreno-Adriatica (Italy), and I dare bet that you after that journey on your MUD tyres, had wished that you had my ice-cream tires. I'm not for extreme offroad, but adventure trips (I love the mountains), greenlaning with different challenges and I will also try the desert. I forgot to show my latest example of "junk", do not misunderstand me, it is not to provoke. The wind blows strong in many places I go. I'm actually proud of this (economic) solution to the problem with a door that "flutters" in the wind : Click image to enlarge Puma 90 MY 2010 (sold 2017) Defender 110 MY 2001 http://www.youtube.com/bjartin |

Well you told him!
I agree with you 100% and yes there as some parts which I don't like and others which I think are great. However I will say yeah I like this and that but I'll keep the rest to myself as I know what I may do to my 110 is my taste and no one else. When I post items what I really want to know is can anyone think of ways I can better my 110. As frank Sanatra said (sang) "I did it my way" Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |
