I travelled 450 miles to get my 2.4 Puma mapped at IRB. Best money I've spend on my defender. I cannot recommend them any higher. You want to make sure your pride and joy is in good hands.

I can't help smile when I read all these 're-map' threads and how everyone has their favourite Smile

it would be really interesting to KNOW how different they are, not just in how much bhp, Nm they produce but the really important stuff like HOW they produce the extra, again not just how smooth they are albeit that's clearly very important but what changes have taken place to achieve the extra power, how the 're-map' has been changed to accommodate loosing the egr and not pulling up a fault. How 'tailored' are they to receive different intercoolers, air flow modifications etc etc..

Over the moom with mine but really looking forward to getting my transmission finally sorted so I can REALLY enjoy it all of the time and not just on and off when the clutch feels like playing ball.

with it being the 2.2 you might want to consider this a little more closely than with a 2.4 as my understanding is you can't chop and change the 're-map' so easily. I guess the other thing is can you try before you buy ie test drive one already modified?

I think Ken's got the right idea......other than perhaps the associated costs Very Happy

presumably the idea of ecu swaps and similar would then require a trip to the local LR garage for a pilot re-learn on pump and injectors?

Hi All

At Alive we offer an Atric module which allows you switch your car to different types of maps written uniquely for you! you can even revert your Ecu back to standard with the Atric for when you are going in for a service. It can hold multiple map types so you can pick and choose how you want your car to perform in different scenarios.

It also works as a fault code reader and allows you to read and clear engine management fault codes.

Hope this helps

Best Regards

The next software update (due very soon) for our new ATRIC p3 system will support OBD port flashing of the 2.2 Defender, but the ECU will still need to be unlocked on the bench first. The device has the capability of holding up to 5 different states of tune, as well as the original factory map.

Give us a call on 01472 812900 to discuss. Take a look on our online shop too! http://www.alivetuning.com/alive-boutique/...uct_id=144

Regards,

Gary.

Heard very good things about the above on face ache. My 2.4 has an Alive tune too, it has never driven so nicely and so well behaved.
Runs well in normal driving with all the power you need for ease of pulling.
But if you really need some power pulling off or towing or if you need to put your foot down for a reason. Whistle

Wow, really shifts!

Funny seeing some eurobox drivers having a shock when they try and overtake.n Whistle

The Puma 2,2 can be programed with different maps with the MPF tool once the ECU has been modified.

The MPF operates from your android phone or tablet and has space for 4 maps if required.

Most only require 2.

MPF = my personnal flash tool., available from BAS or one of his dealers.

I there I filled in your online questionnaire with a couple of points, one was about the Artic 3 and was a cost question on whether it was the same price as the 2.4 and the other question was about your registered outlets and where they were in the UK.
Did you get that mail?

For remote switching Bas have two options. The Android MPF interface seen on my site and mentioned by Cold And Wet
https://secure.bellautoservices.co.uk/stor...landrover/

and very shortly the new Apple and Android compatable model interface with many more functions and features than the existing tools on the market of which just will not compare functionally. A little more here.
