Safe to remove?
I wonder if its safe to remove the 2 bars, guess its for the rear seats that i dont even have. I want to build toolboxes and stuff and they are in the way. TD5 2001 110.

They are for the rear seat belts and seats as you said. Should be fine to remove they will be some stays attached to them under wheel arch that go to cross member aswell which can also be removed. Don't forget to plug holes in the wheel arches.

I took one side out of mine as I wanted to leave one seat in for the "just in case passenger" but in the last 6 years it's been used once so that one is coming out as well and storage compartments will be constructed.

I took mine out, but put them back as I have drawer system installed up to the height of the wheel arches and they are useful to use as tie down points when items are on top of the draws such as ammo boxes etc.

However when out they do not seem to affect the body strength. 2002 110 TD5 White

I've just removed mine to put a forward facing seat in. What's left is no less rigid than a HT.
