Hello JLR CR...
Is it possible to explain why the Australian Specification for the Heritage Edition appears to offer more choice and a far better baseline specification than we have been led to believe we will suffer over here in England? To whit: (Courtesy of Nick (aka @npvpositive > HERE < ) Australian Celebration Series spec sheet I finally got the Australian spec sheet for the Heritage and Adventure editions (which LR is calling MY16). No word yet on pricing. Is there any way to post a PDF to the forum so I can share? The Heritage is coming in loaded up . . . no doubt to justify an outrageous price as usual in Australia: STANDARD --AC (yes!) --Rear folding step --Audio system single slot CD & Radio with MP3/Aux and Bluetooth with Audio System Upgrade (subwoofer mounted on front centre console storage compartment and dashboard mounted tweeter) --Alarm system - perimetric with immobiliser --Convenience pack (electric front windows, remote central locking) OPTIONAL --Delete of the HUE 166 decal on front side quarter --Sun roof --Black or silver side runners --Cold climate pack (heated front seats and windscreen) Whilst we might understand why the AC is necessary for Australia, that does not explain why I am being deprived it in my English edition - please provide the definitive official JLR explanation... As far as I have been informed so far, having ordered a Heritage 90, I will NOT have any options, the vehicle will NOT have AC and the truck will NOT have an audio system - WHY??? I look forward to your definitive excuses explanation at your earliest opportunity, thank you!... Rog... The GREEN One... Indeed Steve...
Seems interesting that Australia appears to have the option to remove the HUE side decals too, bit weird... It all just gives the impression the English market is being treated as a second class, somewhat captive, audience... Rog... The GREEN One... Yes, well I've just seen the Aussie spec sheet, & it certainly does appear that the Aussie Heritage will have the ability to be ordered with some good options.

Hi Venomator,
The specifications, options and prices vary between markets, as well as the derivatives that are offered. Due to many factors in each market and the demand for certain features and options, the specifications will vary as will the vehicle prices. Should you wish to go through the full options and specifications I would advise discussing these with the Sales department of your local Land Rover approved retailer. Many thanks, Pete Last edited by CRC@LandRover on 17th Apr 2015 8:25am. Edited 1 time in total |

Brilliant, thank you so much, finally, for the clarification and confirmation we Heritage wannabes have been clamouring for for so long now...
Everyone will be totally amped and not a little relieved that we can, after all, enjoy AirCon and Radio, even if as an optional extra, thank you... The next question, which you may or may not have anticipated; will the full list of options be made available to us potential buyers any time soon please? And, really, there is no point in pointing us to Land Rover dealers, approved or otherwise, because it is, quite simply, like trying to get blood out of a stone - and they, in turn, blame JLR central for not giving them the information in the first place, believe you me, I have tried like a demented Green Toad since placing my deposit, and have very little to show for it (my last chase was just today, after getting nowhere yesterday!)... Thank you Pete, once again, for providing something, at least, by way of a definitive answer to give us some comfort... Rog... The GREEN One... Hi All,
Just to confirm, the retailers do have the specifications lists for these vehicles and can advise which features are standard or optional specific to each derivative. If you are however having any difficulty, I am more than happy to liaise with your chosen retailer to assist. Please do not hesitate to contact me by PM with the following details: Full Name: Contact No: Contact Email: Order Number: Chosen Retailer: Many thanks, Pete |

Thanks Pete, out of interest, when did the dealers receive said specification and option information please...
Really appreciate your input thus far in resolving the mysteries of the Celebration Line... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Rog, it's your computer "nurd" Aussie friend here!
Can you or some-one else put up an easily dowloadable celebration (all models) spec sheet, so that I can easily copy & print same? There was something put up on another thread, but I couldn't get a copy of it in the right size/configuration? Martin. |

Thanks Pete...
Then I really cannot understand their, almost unanimous, reticence to inform their buyers of what we all need to know... It is a really weird state of affairs that is both worrying and unprofessional tbh... We will see what mine says on Friday when I go visit them... Rog... The GREEN One... Pete
if the spec detais have been released to dealers would it cause any harm if you posted up a version here to share? I'm sure you can appreciate that many on here like to review the fine detail of these things, whether they are buying a vehicle or not. Thanks |
