I use the veritable 'Mark 1' heatshrink gun for smaller 'in safe atmospheric condition' jobs........

Cheaper on gas too....... Laughing Thumbs Up

I had the smaller Iroda (70W?) which was fine for soldering but a bit wimpy for anything else. I've now got the 120 with the removable fuel cartridges, I find it works well although sometimes I have to give it a bit of a shake to get the gas to come out properly. The fuel cartridges leak if you leave them in the iron, so I take them out if I'm not using it for a little while.

I don't know what it is, but there's somehting in the cartridges that you can move up and down by hitting it on something. Performance seems the same wherever it is.

For desk work at work, I use an Antex which is adequate. It's fine for small stuff but isn't very powerful. At home I've got an ancient Weller soldering station I got second hand at uni and that works very well. The only issue is that Weller stuff is really pricey.
