Had you been selling this a year ago I would have probably bitten your hand off!
Wanted a D2 in Diesel and realised I wouldn't find one for less than £12k that wasn't abused, high mileage, or rusted through! Ended up buying my Defender 110 I have now! Anyway, enough rattling, amazing vehicle and well worth the price by the looks of it! Good luck Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon Then: 2004 2.5 TD5 90 Hard Top (X-Tech Edition) |

I have been asked how I get to the price of £10,750 so here goes;
I have a detailed sheet of everything I have spent on the Discovery from the day I bought her and have either done the work myself under the supervision of Pete Bell of Bell Auto Services or Cheviot 4x4 or the work has been carried out by Cheviot 4x4. The total cost so far is £16,170.03 including the purchase price of the vehicle in August 2013. Due to the low mileage and vehicle condition I value the std Discovery at £6,000 and then add the following - please this list is not everything I have added; Suspension kit £400 so now valued at £200 Wheels & Tyres £1,400 so now valued at £850 Warn winch, plus rope, plus remote control plus other bits to fit £1,660 so now valued at £1,000 Front bumper £350 so now valued at £200 CDL at £260 and still at £260 Superpro kit at £450 now valued at £250 Diff guards, Steering guard & Steering bars £550 now valued at £300 New water pump and new steering pump £575 so now valued at £200 DAB radio & CB at £550 now valued at £300 Tow bar/Receiver hitch £200 now valued at £100 Brake ABS extensions, brake hose extension £250 now valued at £150 Window tints £200 now valued at £100 Brand new post facelift dash £450 now valued at £250 Engine work/kit at £1,500 now valued at £750 Other bits not listed £500 This gives a total of £11,410 in parts (and at the reduced price) and the cost of the vehicle without me adding in any fitting costs etc. Obviously I could take off several parts and sell separately such as the winch, CDL, underside protection, suspension kit (I do have the std kit to go back on) etc etc but I would prefer to sell as she is. Hope this helps and I know I have missed some bits off so sorry. Anyway price reduced to £10,500 ono. Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence. "TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you. |

Russell - I'm not sure that you really need to justify the price / cost - This is a stunning example of the discovery and for someone it will be a great vehicle - Yes it's hard for some when looking through other adds and for sale vehicles to appreciate the difference that the work done and the condition of the Disco.
I shudder to think what I've spent on upgrades and modifications over the years on the vehicles - It is always easier to justify when you've had the vehicle from scratch and add bits slowly. What someone is getting here is a mint condition V8 ready for whatever the owner wants to do - I'd love to take this off your hands timing is just not right - Job market is not the best at the moment >>>>> Best of luck with the sale H Defender 110 County SW Disco 3 HSE Freelander 2 HSE - SOLD going back to a car www.lothian4x4response.org |

Can I add that I purchased my 110from Japseroony in April 2013 and it is a keeper. Whoever purchases this vehicle will NOT be disappointed. It will be the best V8 D2 on the market even before the modifications were added. Adventure isn't paved!
