Nakatanenga Antenna?
Just got a newsletter advertising the Nakatanenga (Hirschmann) antenna. Has anyone had experience with one?
My standard telescopic LR one is okay but has been knackered twice (once through vandalism), so I'm considering an upgrade. For 90 Euros, though, it has to be worth it...
Cheers

Hi Matt, I know exactly what antenna they are using. We have the same on two of our Defenders and they work well.

I got it too, some interesting products there.

Cheers Brendan. I knew they'd be tough, it was good reception I was concerned about (I've had bad experiences before). Thanks for the info - looks like another Defender purchase is due Whistle

Embarassed I made a mistake on the last pallet order which arrived yesterday.

I forgot to include them Embarassed

We have another delivery next week so will see if I can get them included in that order.

We get regular deliveries from Nakatanenga, so if it is on their websites we can supply it.

I don't think the Nakatanenga (Hirschmann) antenna in the advert has integrated booster.

Have a look at the Blaupunkt 7 617 495 224 Autoflex aerial, it's a Universal, short-style wing mount aerial with integrated booster amplifier for AM/FM raido.

the bosch autoflex is the one I used , seems good

but the hole in the wing is too big to direct fit , but I used part of the standard aerial base and fitted ok and you need 12v feed for built-in booster

Nakatanenga Hirschmann radio antenna for Land Rover Defender ruggedness for off-road use We use a proven Hirschmann antenna and produce a multi-part stainless steel and aluminium mounting to fit into the original mounting hole in the Land Rover Defender, Specifications: antenna length: 47, 5 cm cable length: 133 cm material antenna: glass fibre, black material base: stainless steel and aluminum frequency range: 0.15-6.2 MHz / FM 87,5-108 MHz the visible part of the holder is in stainless steel .

Hirschmann radio antennas are a great brand and I am sure that Nakatanenga do a great job with their multi-part stainless steel and aluminium mounting and at £67.50 is probably good value. However if you wish to make your own mount the aerial whip can be found here complete with 1330mm low loss cable to DIN plug.

I've had a fair amount of success from this if you're on a budget http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amplified-Replac...0559708597

But I've just noticed that this particuar one is "out of stock" at the moment
