Don't think either of those dates are relevant.
Date of last "production" is 20th December 2015. Pickles. |

I think Jason means last date when you still can register a new car for use on public road in Europe which is only Euro5 and not Euro6 compliant.
Don't know the name of that in the UK, but here we call it (translated) "the grey card" or "the circulation permit". I believe that from 01-01-2016 it will not be possible to register any new, not previously registered, Euro5 passenger cars, including Defenders, anymore anywhere in the EU or Switzerland. Maybe someone on here knows the legislation better than me... Eric You never actually own a Defender. I find that hard to believe Eric. Based on that, a Defender could only have 11 days after date of last manufacture to be registered?
I don't know the facts, but I would suggest that the deadline date would be more to do with the date of manufacture?....not the date of registration?. Pickles. |

Sounds like a question to be answered by Land Rover Customer Relations on here. Surely LR will know the facts for their own cars.

Reason for wanting to know is that I've ordered a final edition adventure and want to have it registered at the last possible date allowed by EU legislation ! Can customer relations please let me know as the dealers will probably just want me to register it ASAP for there targets!

Hi all,
The final order date for Defenders is 26th June 2015, with the final production scheduled for December. In reference to the registration of new vehicles, this is not something that is dictated by vehicle manufacturers and is set by the relevant vehicle licensing agency in the specific market the vehicle is being registered. In general retailers will complete the registration of new vehicles prior to completing the vehicle handover, for other arrangements you would need to discuss this with your selling retailer. Should you require further assistance please PM me. Many thanks, Pete |

I suppose that 26th June is the Final date that orders will be accepted/processed at the JLR factory, so to get your order in there by that date, ya'd have to complete your order with the Dealer at an earlier date?.......Time is marching on?
