United Kingdom 2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Stornoway Grey
blue smoke
Noticed in the mornings when I start my puma she blue and white smokes for 2 min had a egr valve fitted and helped for a while and its back again anyone had this problem ?

one other thing is when taking up the drive is dosent matter how genttle i pres the accelorator I get 2 slaps from the transmission area forllowed by a whiring noise Big Cry how can I get this fixed

Firstly is your Landy still under warrenty with the dealer? Also in the colder weather (early mornings) exhaust emissions do tend to show more under colder temperatures. Other than that it maybe that theres a slight overfill of engine oil? If it's none of these then it probably needs to be checked out. Even mine which is in perfect order (touch wood) does smoke on a early morning under cold temperatures when the engine starts from cold. Someone else should be along soon to perhaps ive some more technical explanations. Thumbs Up

Unlikely defective valve rubber seals but also could be a leaking turbo. You can check if you get oil on the intake manifold. Puma 110" SW

just had a look under my 90 to see if i could locate the transsmission noise and most is coming from a new clutch recently fitted and also the front diff Big Cry also whilst under there i noticed the rear diff is leaking bad and also the transfer box off into stratstone in the morning me thinks
