Probably pulling to the left due to the camber of the road. To verify this, take it down a straight quiet country road and see if it pulls to the right when carefully driving on the right hand side of the road.

I would check tyre pressures first and if no change get it back to the dealers and raise a fuss. It may be that the steering isn't centralised as if it was a mechanical problem you would be constantly steering away from the pull but the way you've worded it it sounds like the steering wheel isn't in the central position on a straight road.

Swop the two front tyres over. I once had a van that pulled to the left and it turned out to be a faulty tyre. They checked the alignment, balance and all sorts. Only really found it once the fronts had worn out and got replaced.

First check tyre pressures and simple things first, then get the geometry checked out. If not it might be a tyre fault as Andy suggested. Dealer needs to sort that.
I had the problem when I got my 08 110 that was on the factory General Grabbers, had all the above checked, also changed tyres front to back, side to side and it still did it. Changed the tyres to new Coopers and it drives straight as a die now. Pete 2010 Discovery 4 GS TDV6 1972 Series III 88" 2.25P |

I'll check tyre pressure first. It may just be the camber of the road tbh.

Mine was like that. The stealership never sorted it. So I just kept swopping wheels until the problem went, then I marked the inside of the 'hub cap' to show which went where. Strange thing is, it isn't like that with the winter tyres, drives straight as an arrow.

mine also jumped to the left since new (2010) - couldn't take my hands off the steering wheel at any speed over 40kmh.
after 2 years of LR telling me 'they all do this', I got my lawyer to write them a nice letter. they bent over backwards and started replacing parts - rims, shocks, coils, etc. Eventually they replaced the front axle, and the problem was resolved. Now I can drive 100kmh and take my hands off the wheel without ending up in the bush -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

This used to be a common fault when I was doing the PDI at the main stealers .
The ring of bolts that holds the swivel housing to the axle casing has a dowel bolt in the top hole. We used to remove the bolt and grind the dowel part of the shank off. refit the bolt and jack up the front of the swivel housing before tightening the ring of bolts. This then gives you an increased castor angle and prevents the pulling to one side, it only takes about 15mins 2003 Td5 90 2013 sport hse 2012 700 raptor quad 2012 siromer 4x4 tractor |

Well, this is a new car.
I suggest you consultate your local Land Rover Dealer with this issue. |

Will give dealer a shout. Can you take a new car into any dealer or is it best to take it to the supplying one? Tbh supplying one is a 45 min drive and there are closer ones to home.

Just take it to the nearest one! (Well, in Manchester not Williams and ideally not Stockport!!) An engine to TDi for!

Do Williams and Stockport not have a good reputation? They're the two nearest me, then Bury! Bury seemed ok when I looked around!
I've inflated all the tyres to 30psi on the fronts and 48psi on the back (as recommended), and seems to have sorted it tbh so alls good. Probably just rear tyres as they were a little low, fronts were perfect! |
