sickened by the scene in Telford, Shropshire.
Police have condemned onlookers who shouted "jump" and filmed a distressed man officers were trying to talk down from a tall building. West Mercia Police said it was "pretty appalling" as the man was "clearly in need of support and assistance". The man fell and was pronounced dead at about 15:40 Police warned they could take action against anyone sharing the footage. I believe people are now uploading the material on social media sites In response to the activity on social media, the origin of any comments or material that is deemed to be unlawful will be investigated and appropriate police action will be taken against any identified individual," he said. "I would urge that any person who is in possession of any related material does not publish it any further and ensures it is disposed of." Witness said people, mainly teenagers, but "some grown men", were filming the incident unfold. "As we walked past, there were some youths shouting 'Go on, do it - jump'," she said. a lot of them were filming it, but to see some grown men filming it... "It was almost like a form of entertainment for them... kids were screaming, running to the other side to see if they could get a better view," she said. Just what is happening to our society For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

Society has become so desperate that this now is entertainment, even on this site people have posted videos of crashes and accidents. I m a paramedic and it's something we have noticed at incidents the increase in filming not just the incident but the faces of patients and emergency personnel at the scene
I'm sickened and disgusted with certain sections of society |

I think it is part of the desensitisation to suffering that is a product of total immersion media be it factual or entertainment. all too often we are shown images of death and destruction and are expected not to become immune to it. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Rossy is right, not that long ago people would have turned out to watch public executions and I bet some individuals would do the same now. The human race are animals and some will inevitably have a lower sense of what is morally the right way to behave. Steve.
