Setting mileage on a new instrument panel (2010 Puma)
Hello,

My Landie Indie garage have needed to change my Dashboard Instrument cluster Sad due to an internal fault.
On the new unit how can the mileage be set to the correct mileage ? As I don't want to explain a mileage
Discrepancy if I ever decide to sell. The Indie garage don't know how hence my post.

It's already a low mileage vehicle (19k miles) so I dont need to knock miles off Laughing

Cheers
Mark

They will need to configure the new IPAC using a dealer level tool like IDS or SDD,

if you've got a new one reading 0, couldn't you just connect it up to a pulse generator to fake the wheels going round lots of times? Shouldn't be too hard! Either program it to just stop after the correct number of pulses or guess when it's going to stop and hope for the best.

According to your Pumas age you should have at least two Mot’s with recorded mileage stated, these along with an itemised invoice and description of the work carried out by the garage in replacing the speedo, which should also include the recorded mileage should be evidence enough that nothing dodgy is going on re mileage if you decide to sell the vehicle in future. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Agreed. I have all the paperwork.

The only issue is if someone runs a National Mileage Register check then it will show a discrepancy.
I will contact them to ask them about this type of situation.
