Where ever you mount it ensure it is on rubber mounts. It will vibrate and cause lots of vibrations when it's running. 110 D250 SE HT

Trial and error I think. Try and position it near some bracing. ie if you mount in on a flat panel then try and do it where the bracing runs on the otherside. Or mount in a corner where the panels have less scope for vibrating.
Ensure you use the backing plate that comes with the compressor. That will help a lot as well 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |

Not sure which model 90 you have or what size compressor you have but in my 90 HT with no rear bulkhead I have mine mounted on behind the driver's seat, on the top of the rubber matted wheel box.
I have quite a lot of non-standard gubbins in there - fuse box, roll cage and load barrier (dog guard) but it fits fine. Done 15k miles around Australia on a lot of rough tracks and not had any problems with it, and no vibrations to speak of. Usually the air line is coiled a bit tidier than in the picture and tucks away down the side of the roll cage. Been a bit lazy with my tidying up of late! Still loads of "Red Centre" sand in there! Mine is mounted between the passenger seat and the bulkhead, mounted on the bulkhead. Been there 5 years, no vibration and accessible for tyre inflation. 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

So is it a big job to get under the passenger seat. I will wait for it to arrive and have a good scratch of the head.
Thanks - Ben |
