This is the bulb with holder mentioned in the previous thread, the bulb seems longer and the contact locations are different

Being Land Rover it'll either be completely unique or utterly simple. does any one have a picture of said bulb + holder? There is a few different versions of those little capless bulbs and holders but perhaps the parts bin mentality of land rover mean it is something obvious like a Disco 2 clock bulb!

This is the part I bought for mine.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-BULB-12V-509...rmvSB=true The original bulb has a green plastic sleeve over the glass part of the bulb to give green hue to the illumination. As the new part was a clear lense I used a green felt tip pen to colour the glass before fitting. I started with nothing and still have most of it left! |

So the jury remains out on this.
I do remember that when my own hazard switch bulb failed, my dealer in their system could also not find the STC1205 bulb listed as a separate item for the Puma anymore. So PaulMc on here came with the educated explanation as below.
I wonder if with the original Puma green clock bulb we have a similar situation as above. Could it be that the bulb was listed for clocks in older LR models, or for other than Defender models, just not for the Puma (and maybe not for the Td5) anymore? Quite likely that the Puma clock was borrowed from a different LR/RR model, just like the entire speedo unit which is borrowed from the D3. Anyone (PaulMc??) can enlighten us? One day or the other we all will face this situation that our Puma clocks will go black. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I haven't studied the Puma's clock too closely - so, I don't know what it uses for its illumination, or if it's easily replaceable.
However, the picture in Microcat references the bulb as 'NSP' Click image to enlarge Replacing the complete clock (at around £54.00) seems a bit extreme, just because the bulb has blown Anyway, I have the connectors to fit this clock, and they are marked as 'Ford Restricted' items - so, I wonder if this clock has its origins in the Ford parts bin .
