Nick this is really useful, I keep looking at nice bits to add and ICE but really should be doing the basics in security first.

Anybody have any thoughts on these?

I quite like the look of them as an accessory but also seems a good idea as an additional lock

How can you tell if your alarm is factory fitted unit or aftermarket? Would same precautions apply regardless?

Just a follow on with my thread,

Can anyone recommend a car alarm? And why? A quick search on Google said a viper alarm ranks 10/10 looks good with an lcd display on the fob showing When door is opened or engine running etc and also had a remote engine start!!!!

Just a thought. How does anyone know if they're sending a PM to a thief who just happens to also be a member on here?

I'm not making any accusations whatsoever incidentally. But how do we know?

Er, I have read the whole thread.

What about the two posts immediately above mine, for example?

The sad thing is that any half-brained Defender thief will know most of the the weak points already (courtesy of Google) - it's just us poor innocent lot that don't Rolling Eyes Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
