Headlight/instrument light Relay
Hi all, another 110 issue appeared last night (always seem to be appear after trip to dealership Big Cry )

Went to move vehicle last night but when I pushed the light switch on for instrument lights/headlights there's a loud buzzing/rattling sound....assume a relay? All lights seem to function ok but with this awful noise.

With lights switched off there's no noise when flashing headlights.....The vehicle is 2012 Puma and I changed out the original factory fit SVX Crystal Wipacs for Nolden Bi-LEDs a month or so ago....any ideas or any one seen the same issue?

Cheers all,

The headlight switch itself can be prone to failure. A buzzing relay is indicative of the stalk switch issue, it may not manifest itself whilst flashing but in the normal position only. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Thanks K9

After looking this morning it now seems that the issue is a rapid clicking/popping noise coming from area behind right hand led headlight when swith is put on....can't tell it's the light itself.

Hi - I fitted a replacement LED light and the problem didn't return. Light was apparently tested ok so it may possibly have been a wiring irregularity due to fitting.

I'd suggest popping the grill off and checking all your connections carefully. Maybe swap the lights round and see if you still get the same issue?
