Well if you turned up in a Defender & they caught you on the cctv, I expect you will be "helping police with their enquiries" presently. Whistle

Fortunately i was in my daily drive, Defender was safely tucked up at home Wink

They currently have my mates TR6 in there for sale [Hence why we were there] ... he was sweating when he heard the news Neutral Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

Shocked I didn't realise they are worth so much. They had a classic meet on Poole Quay last year and there were quite a few knocking about.

The 'bog standard' Mexico isn't, This was an RS, An original FMC Rally produced model sold solely for competition/event use, not to the general public.

The standard Mexico was the road going version of this car, produce and sold to satisfy the MSA regulations that stated rally cars must be based on a current production model available to the public. You could buy 3 Mexico's for the price of this and still have change Shocked

Whoever arranged it's theft knew what it was ... Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

My neighbour had a Mexico he used to drive it like it was stolen back in the 70s. Walked round the corner one day and itwas on its roof, 100 yards from his house. They say most accidents happen near home.

Reminds my of the Italian job!
