I'd have a few quid on the Land Rover being stolen as well...

Jesus so was I, private collector I would think, boxed up and in a container by now. My first love affair was the Mexico, sadly could never afford one. 2005 TD5 90 CSW XS

I didn't realise they are worth so much. They had a classic meet on Poole Quay last year and there were quite a few knocking about.

Very sad really. I can understand gangs stealing modern bling (or cars that can be blinged such as Defenders) to order, but classics like a Series 1 or Mexico. What kind of collector would consider such a purchase. Not a 'true' collector by anyone's reckoning. Very sad, Mexico looks fab. Someone's pride and joy, project, baby, call it what you will, gone. B&OŁ&*%ds. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Well if you turned up in a Defender & they caught you on the cctv, I expect you will be "helping police with their enquiries" presently. |

It wasn't me, I'd have taken the 911.
As much as that Mex is a beaut... I'll be amazed if they don't get caught, this has gone viral, big time. |

So was it a 90, or, as reported elsewhere, a Series 1?
