Welcome tot the forum
Depends if your trying to "hide" the fact it's dirty. I've always found that Black is always a nightmare colour to keep clean without washing every 5 mins. Grey would be my preference Rosco 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

I have a black one and I disagree about the 5 minutes. Mine looks fantastic for 10 minutes, then you get a slight shower and I have to wash it again even though I haven't driven it. I washed it 4 times in first two days much to my wife's amusement.
It's a smart colour though. |

In my experience silver cars never really look too dirty.

Seriously?
If you are worried about disguising the dirt then my preference would be silver, grey and last on the list would be black. Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

They all look good. I think many will agree, however much you love the colour you choose and know it's the 'right one' you will always look at other colours a little enviously..... My colour envy at the moment is reserved for the Montecelino Red. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

My dad got a white car cheap, we had to cover it in cow-spot stickers so it looked "right" when muddy

Having had a black 90 for the last 4 years I can confirm they are a pig to keep looking clean. Black also shows scratches and swirl marks really badly.... Jonno |

You see more damaged or written of silver cars than anything else which would put me off. Last silver car i had, had more scrapes and dents in it than any other.
