I think you will find that was on defenders using the Spider immobiliser and not the DDS that the Puma uses. Also there is more than one fuse for the 10AS and the short would trip a Tamper alarm sounding the BBUS and immobilising the Puma until a key fob was used to disarm the alarm and immobiliser.

they short the indictors to blow the fuse and stop them flashing when the alarm goes off...mine was attacked and the indicator was loose. they then disable the horns...then its a question of nicking parts or towing it away.
